Warriors VS Thunder Game Recap

The best team in the West soared past the Warriors in a high scoring battle, 120-109. Kevin Durant led the Thunder with 37 points, Russell Westbrook chipped in with a not so shabby 28 points.

Durant also hauled in 14 rebounds, and Westbrook dished out 11 dimes. Serge Ibaka had his best outing of the year so far, with 20 points and 12 rebounds. On the other side,  Dorell Wright led the Warriors with 23 points, and a team leading nine rebounds. Klay Thompson showed that he has great potential racking up 14 points on 6-8 shooting from the field. Overall, the Thunder did a solid job of limiting Curry and Ellis's production.

Durant added after the game, "I was past due with the big scoring night, so it felt good to score some points, but the rebounds -- it's not every night I can go get 14, so it feels good to help my team out in that aspect."

The Warriors once again failed to take advantage of the Thunder's mistakes in the fourth quarter. Knowing that a team led by Kevin Durant wouldn't turn the ball over the whole fourth quarter, went on a run to close the game out. The common theme of losing the lead and turning the ball consistently down the stretch,  has cost the Warriors a few games in the win column.

Shutting Curry and Ellis down was crucial to the Thunder's win. Dorell Wright stepped up, but nobody else performed well enough to account for the 11-33 shooting night from Curry and Ellis combined.
