3 Pickups that Could Spark the Warriors

Let's face it, the Warriors have absolutely no chance of acquiring all-star center, Dwight Howard. He doesn't want to play for the Warriors and he will just leave this summer. The Warriors are right on the edge at (6-11). They could very easily be (10-7) if they could play to win in the fourth quarter, instead of playing not to loose. We can't change the past, but the Warriors season is by no means over. Let's reveal which players would be difference makers for the Warriors.

Kenyon Martin

Martin is currently playing in China and will become available in a couple of weeks. The Clippers have expressed the most interest in the veteran mostly because of  the connection with Chauncey Billups, but that by no means is final. Martin could bring solid interior defense, athleticism, rebounding, a lot of hustle, and most importantly, a veteran presence. He doesn't need the ball every time down the court to be effective because he finds other ways to help his team, which is something the Warriors crave.

DeMarcus Cousins

The Warriors haven't had a true power forward like Cousins in years. Granted, he is a little bit of knucklehead, but Sacramento is full of knuckleheads. A new scenery for Cousins would benefit him more than anything. If the Warriors acquired him he might have to shift over to play center, or Lee would make the change. The only thing that concerns me with cousins, is that he demands the ball. Between Monta, Curry, and Lee, Cousins might not get as many touches as he did in Sacramento, which could frustrate him. Obviously, one of the three players above would have to be involved in a trade for the rookie out of Kentucky, but his touches will still decrease. Either way, he would be a "true" big man in the middle for the Warriors, and he still has plenty of room to improve at the age of 21.

Andrew Bynum

Bynum would also take the Warriors to another level. The Lakers are currently struggling, and if the struggles continue, Bynum could be on his way out. To acquire him the Warriors would have to trade Monta or Curry along with some throw ins. Personally, I think Curry would entice the Lakers a bit more because they need an upgrade at the point guard spot, and Curry would be more than an upgrade. Curry, Wright, and a draft pick or two, for Bynum and cash would work out well. Bynum would bring one of the best interior presences in the league to the Warriors, and he still has room for improvement as he is only 24. Remember that Jerry West was the Lakers general manger before he came to the Warriors. That is just something to ponder on.
